Krystal Froman is a dancer from Six Nations with Mohawk and Irish ancestry. She is recognized in the community as a B-girl (Female Break-Dancer) and Fancy Shawl Dancer. Krystal performed a hip-hop choreographed piece at the ImagiNATIVE film festival in Toronto alongside Indigenous b-boys Juan Siez Swift and Jay “Strategy” Robi. Krystal has also led dance workshops that blend pow-wow steps with hip-hop styles for Reztore Pride initiatives as well as for the Canadian Roots Exchange Youth Reconciliation conference in Sudbury, Ontario. All of Krystal’s dance performances and workshops are based on respect for Indigenous knowledge and hip-hop culture.
